Each drum is skilfully made by hand using sustainable, recycled timbers, top-notch hardware, and an impeccable finish. Hardware
Trick multi-step throw offs are used on each of our drums. The throw offs are best known for their high quality providing you with the smoothest most accurate action available. The multi-step throw off offers a smooth and quiet operation with the added functionality of three snare tension positions.
All drums can be purchased with either brass or chrome hardware. The lugs used on our drums are all solid lugs made to the highest quality. We offer a variety of lug designs to suit your individual tastes.
Stainless Steel Fixings & 45° Bearing Edge
All drums are equipped with a 45-degree bearing edge as a standard feature, which offers a resonant sound with a full sustain. This resonant characteristic provides a broad range of tuning options, making it versatile for all types of musical applications. The 45-degree bearing edge grants the highest level of control over the drum, enabling you to adjust and tailor your sound to suit any playing scenario.
And when it comes to durability, we've got you covered. All of our hardware is securely attached to the shell using stainless steel screws and washers, guaranteeing that your drums will withstand the test of time, ensuring they remain a reliable companion on your musical journey
Snare Wires
Our drums come standard with a 20-strand snare wire, providing our drums with optimal sensitivity, articulation, and a broad dynamic range. Whether you're crafting intricate ghost notes or delivering thunderous backbeats, our 20-strand snare wires ensure your snare drum responds with clarity and finesse.
Stainless Steel Tension Rods
Our drums feature stainless steel tension rods that guarantee durability and longevity. These rods offer exceptional strength, maintaining optimal tension for your drumheads. They are also highly resistant to corrosion and damage, ensuring long-lasting performance. With their smooth threading and consistent tension distribution, these stainless steel tension rods provide effortless fine-tuning for your snare drum. Additionally, each rod includes a thick leather washer to enhance tuning stability and reduce unwanted overtones caused by loose rods.
Leather Gaskets
At Nowak Drums, we take extra care to ensure the longevity of our drums. Each drum in our collection features hand-punched leather gaskets meticulously installed between the drum shell and lugs. Crafted from premium-quality leather, these gaskets serve as a protective shield for your drum shell. Safely positioned between the lugs and shell, they not only ensure the drum's enduring durability but also safeguard the shell throughout its entire lifespan.
Drum Heads & Hoops
All our drums come standard with robust 2.3mm Triple Flanged Hoops, ensuring durability and resonance. If you seek a specialized touch, Die Cast hoops are available upon request.
When it comes to drumheads, we exclusively use Remo Control Sound Coated Drum Heads and Remo Ambassador Hazy Snare Side as our standard choice. These meticulously selected drumheads strike the perfect balance, offering warm and open tones alongside a bright attack and controlled sustain. It's all about achieving the ideal sound, and we're dedicated to delivering it with every Nowak Drum.
